sold signs for buyers agents

Real Estate Agent with REMAX of Valencia/Santa Clarita CalBRE# 01729357

I am curious what people are doing in other areas of the country regarding "sold" signs. I had two experiences this week, first with the listing agent of a house where I  had represented the buyer posting a sold by"--" with his own name (the listing agent) printed once again as a banner placed over his own for sale sign, giving the impression that he also brought and represented the buyer. At the same time that week at one of my own listings I had the buyer's agent place a large, it looked like a for sale sign on a big white post with a sold banner hanging off of it,with his own name on it on a property as soon as I removed my own large for sale sign after COE. I guess I didnt sell either of those houses but I am still happy because I did collect two pay checks! What is customary in other parts of the country?

Laureen - I can understand the first example happening but not the second no one puts a sign on a property listed by another with out the permission of the listing agent the seller and the buyer

I like to work with the listing agent on a issue like this. I have always asked the agent if they mind and have never had a problem even if they've got their sold sign up already
