Through the years, I always tried to get my hands on good training materials, and you all know that this is not cheap. I ventured once to Michael Russer's 3-day bootcamp in Chicago 3 years ago, and was hugely disappointed. Went to Roger Butcher seminar, signed for coaching, never got a single call, but never called them and asked for anything, so I can't really complain, but have all the materials, and disks.

I started buying courses on EBay and now have a small collection of good DVDs. Therefore, when I got a call form people offering me something very similar to Netflix, but with training disks from any coaching master out there, I was not hyped, and said "No, thanks". I thought that if I got that call couple of years earlier, that would be such a convenient way to learn from the best. The annual subscription would be less than what I paid for one set, and at 1 disk per month at $19, I could get 12 a year, and that would be a good value. Now, that I have a few series, and did not listen to them yet, as there is no time, and I am so busy, and all that stuff, but in reality, I have not listened and learned for one and only simple reason: I have the disks, so now I can stick them in the player at any time.... which we often never have.

I think that if I got something that I have to return, then it is a different motivation. You pay $19 (or $29.95 for 2 disks a month) and if you do not listen and learn, then you understand that you waste money, and nobody likes wasting money (though we all do anyway).

I called them back and left a message, and then Al (I did not ask his last name, sorry) called me, and we had a nice chat. I thought it would be nice to offer to AR community, but I did not want to endorse something illegal, so I asked them about it, and was assured that they absolutely legit, and we should not have any problem because of that.

This coudl be for you, if you need to find a realtively inexpensive (better say- affordable) way to master your skills. Real Estate Brokerages usually do not offer training materials of that caliber to agents. Though a legitimate expense, it is expensive to buy,  especially for new agents.

There is no question IMO, that listening to Floyd Wickman's 101 Greatest Dialogs can help agents, and will be beneficial to any agent, not only a rookie. Last time I checked, they are offered at $199 for 6 DVDs. Still a saving if you rent them.

On another note, how often you get something and you are not happy? Here you can listen and then decide if this is something you absolutely have to have on your own shelf.

My inner voice screams in my ear that if you have your own, you can go back again and again... Yeap, you can. But do you really go back?

If you value good information resources, and feel you can benefit, here's the link: http://www.biz-vids.com/  If you do, try to negotiate a better deal. At least give it a try.

Al told me to ask you to let them know that you heard it from me. You do not need to do it. Just say that you got it on AR. They know about AR. Will you?

Jon- You are not the first person that I have heard that Butcher's people don't return calls! I get a lot of clients to coach from those guys. That is because what they do is cookie cutter. But people are not cookies. My coaching is totally customized but also because it is most agents can not afford to hire me.

Next year I will take my coaching online with teleseminars so that I can bring the price point down. Katerina

Katerina - As you see, I did not complain. And you are right about cookie cutter. A smart man, saying samrt things. Is it something that you can do? No.

One example. He was giving a great presentation for door hangers and how he would hang them and walking back would already engage people in the conversation.

So, we jumped on the idea. We ordered in Canada the most fancy door hangers with the idea to invite people to the open house. Then the first problem, you can't do it without a special solicitor license from the City. OK, we go to the city. Oh, yes, you have to buy it from the city, but before the city can do it, you need to have a County occupational license. Our office is not within this county, so we have to go and buy a county license, then a city license, all that to have 3 people coming to that open house, because this is a distressed market, and people do not go to open houses.

Thanks for visiting
