Scrolling through the Future of Real Estate Marketing Blog this evening, it amazes me that the flow of innovation is never-ending; especially in the field of real estate. I visit the site every once in a while to make sure that I am up on the latest technology. During this visit, I was directed to two relatively new property search systems that use a google maps mashup to index and feature properties. These sites are AgentEarch.com and PropSmart.com Both sites allow the user to type in a search area, and use the google mapping function (either google maps or google earth) to identify the property and any available listings around it. Neither of these search tools have the visibility and marketing muscle that is behind Zillow, but they are interesting innovations. As I indicated previously, technology has put full access to the MLS into the hands of the consumer, and these two sites are two new examples.
Once again technology is marching on, and it is time to find ways to use it to grow business. The only other option is to let it put everybody out of business.
