I am attempting my first rehab/flip. I have found an old home on .75 of an acre in smithtown long island. I have negotiated with the owner and setteled on a great purchase price well under market. The current owner is an older gentelman whose wife recently died and has now moved to Penn. to live with is daughter. The house is a complete gut (it hasn't been touched since the 70's). I have already spoken with the township to find out what I can do to this place and figured out that I can put on an extension as well as a second story and make some good money. I am in need of a referral to a good and trustworthy contactor in the smithtown area who has knowledge of the area. I also welcome any advice/tips anyone can give me.
