NorthGate Mall in San Rafael gets an update! Could it effect home prices?

It's about time to see some changes at the Northgate mall. Not since 1986 has the mall seen an upgrade. At that time they had decided to cover the then open mall. Today, the current owners will again show off the mall as an open space with broad walkways and lots of filtered sun streaming through.

Additionally, a new mix of stores and restaurants will be enlivening and enriching the lives of Marin shoppers.

Now is an exciting time for current residents and new families to make a move into or out of the area. Why you ask? Anytime you have wonderful single family homes, award winning Dixie schools and now an updated shopping experience, there is created excitement, interest and great opportunity for people on both sides of the real estate transaction. In many cases, people who have lived in the area for a while might be considering downsizing.  Others may need to relocate fpr a job. This injection of capital improvements is a perfect time to make that move.

Growing families will be hard pressed to find a better area where so many bargins abound. A home buyer can find sensible and workable floor plans on large lots.  Prices are off by in some cases nearly $100,000 from two years ago. The housing styles vary from mid-century modern classics (Eichlers and Alliance) to wonderful traditional Kenney Ranch homes!
