Pick Up Your PhoneSince my business is real estate referrals matching the right agent to the prospective buyer or seller is very important.  So when I place a referral I'm very anxious to hear back from my clients as to how it is going.

 This weekend I got a frantic call from a client.  Seems the agent they had been referred to and had spent a few hours with viewing houses had suddenly disappeared.  They had found another house they wanted to see and all they got when they called the agent was a message that their VM was full. 

So here is a buyer ready to make a move and the agent hasn't cleared out their voice mail in what would have to be days.  So instead of the agent selling a house in the 400K price with a nice commission there are getting nothing.  We quickly found the buyer another agent who ran out to meet them and wrote a contract on a property they liked.  One agent's loss is another agent's gain.

By the way I've tried for three days to get through to the agent and still a full VM.  I sent an email and it was read so know they aren't laid up in the hospital somewhere.  Gotta wonder why!

I Know!....I just wrote a couple of blogs on Customer Service.  I know your item is not directly related to my blog on the lack of customer service with the REO listing arena but your blog does touch upon a huge industry wide problem......"What Happened to Customer Service".  We could argue that the more agents without this attribute means less competition but it scares me to think what our public will think. 

Anyway, there are still plenty of us with good, positive Customer Relation skill and I for one will continue to do my best.

I keep precious little voicemails from my kids in my VM so I have to continually clean it out.  Unfortunately there have been a few days where I will get an overwhelming amount of calls within 1 hour and it is full.  It motivates to check everything immediately.

Pippa-might want to check with your carrier and see what you can do about storage space on your VM.  Would hate for you to lose the inspiration that comes from you kids.
