We just had one of the biggest earthquake in a while. What was I doing??? Well I was at my daughter's swimming lessons sitting next to the pool when I felt a shaking sensation. We were next to a major street and I thought it must have been a big rig passing by until I saw all the parents get up and go to their child by the pool. I thought why worry my child when she is at one of the best spots to be during an earthquake. Nothing is directly over her and she is out in the open. It made me think though. Are we ready for the big ONE. Haven't experts been predicting the big ONE since after Northridge. The latest is that the big ONE should hit within 30 years. How do they know???? Just like a realtor cannot predict the market I don't believe these experts can predict the big ONE. I mean after all why didn't they know that an earthquake was going to happen and warn us before hand. Now they want to tell us that a big ONE is going to hit within the next 30 years. I can probably predict that as well and I didn't have to be an expert.
Well that just makes me want to ask everyone...Are YOU prepared if it does hit? As for me and my family we are but then we aren't. We are not prepared in respect to we don't know what to expect but we are prepared to feed our family and shelter our family. So do yourself a favor and get prepared because the government will not be there to hold your hand.
