As a child I was very artistic. I was always drawing, and painting. My interest in Interior Design began at a very young age as well. I remember when I was 8 years old, I found a picture in Better Homes & Gardens of Blue Mountains. 
I wanted so badly to paint that on the wall of my bedroom. For some reason, I couldn't do it, but I was always planning out new decorating schemes. I also enjoyed drawing out floorplans of homes! I designed some great Mansions in my day!
So, when I entered into the Boise Real Estate industry, it was no surprise that I gravitated to New Construction Homes! I love New Homes! They are in immaculate condition, have all the latest colors and finishes, make the best use of the available square footage, and still have that "New Home Smell"! As part of my services to builders, I accessory stage their spec homes. 
It's a helpful service to them, and I get to unleash my artistic side! ; )
Most homes are built so the finishes of the home are very neutral. When my husband and I were building our new home a couple years ago, he asked me "Is our whole house going to be brown?" I told him just to trust me, and the results came out great! You want your finishes to be neutral so that in a couple years you can update your decorating scheme, without having to replace all the expensive finishes. It does make the homes rather bland to walk into though when the decorations haven't been added yet. Adding colorful decorative accsssories helps brighten up the blank canvas of the home. I think of the furnishings and accessories as the inspired paint strokes on the blank canvas! Just see how the Red towel adds visual interest to the Master Bathroom!
