This is an update on a post I wrote a few years ago about Mortgage Fraud. I was helping someone who had been a victim of the "strawBuyer" scheme /fraud.
When she told me her sad story, I just couldn't ignore her. Even though I had never met her, I felt an obligation as a human being to help her.
Well, finally I convinced the Lender to at least investigate this file! The lender ended up foreclosing but they didn’t report it on the victim’s credit report, which was a good thing. What bugs me more about this whole thing is that those scoundrels who used this lady’s name as a "straw buyer" are still in business!
