Mountains, Valleys, Amazing Homes- Taylors SC Has it All!

I could not believe it when I looked up Taylors on Localism this morning and found not one post. I was shocked. Here in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Travelers Rest, Taylors SC is just one burb east, down south that means spittin distance (5 mins away). Besides Travelers Rest, most of my sales have been in this area and you need to know about it!

Ok I had to throw in the cheesy typical house shot but really this is a good depictation, although most of the new construction is highly focused on true craftsman style homes. You can easily purchase a 3 or 4 bedroom home, 2.5 bath plus a bonus room of some kind, at LEAST .5 acres for 200-250K! Of course if you must have granite and upgrades...you'll STILL only pay that much!

So what is it about Taylors? Like it's neighbors, Travelers Rest and Greer, Taylors stretches from the Blue Ridge Mountain ridge of NC all the way into Greenville, SC. Our burbs are longer than they are wide. Almost everything is on acreage here and most have incredible views while still being within 15-20 minutes to the dreaded mall or wonderful restaurants of downtown. Of course there are local staples in Taylors like your corner meat N three.

For all you Yankees out there (and I'm half Yankee so there!) a MEAT N THREE is exactly that:   a meat and three side items for usually about 5$..beats the heck out of fast food although watch the trans fats...we love our fried chicken! And oh..the country fried steak..but I digress......

No I'm not kidding. In the farthern northern areas of Taylors near historic Highway 11 which bisects the northern mountains of GA, SC and NC, there's a place called Packs Mountain Ridge. No kidding  this is the view from the gentlemen's home. He fell in love with the floor to ceiling window which offered him year round vistas such as this. Sure that was a bit more than 200K but 500K was a great price for that home.

Taylors is a breath of fresh air and overlooked. Oh we take clients through there all the time. There is not a dividing line so you have to delineate when you've passed from Greer to Taylors to Travelers Rest. But the homes are spectacular, the schools excellent, the people unsurpassedly genteel..and a great place to own your piece of heaven. Pick one currently on the market below.
