Broker Tours / Open Houses / Just Not Trying
I have read and been told Broker Tours and holding open house is not worth the time. Open houses are the way of the dinosaur (well I have been doing this for a long time). On Tuesday, we held a Broker Tour at #20 Boimare Drive in Kenner LA. Only 3 agents show to view the property and have a little lunch. Last night I get the call that one of the 3 agents will show the property with a client Saturday morning.
I hear so much doom and crying. What are you doing about it? If you sit at home and cry and watch TV expect the same results. NOTHING. Let's go people, this is a great business were in. I saw this in the 80's, a little in the 90' and now in 2000's. Activity will bring activity. STRIKE. This is my battle cry. So stop crying and make something happen. If you used to do it, do it again. Yes, include in your business plan new ways, i.e. Blog and internet exposure. Think out of the box.
Yesterday I stopped by the print shop to pick up a new sign (Price Rider).

I am working on the pre qualify and hope to move forward. Just so you know these buyers, they both knew their credit score and wanted very affordable homes (sub 100's). The Realtor they spoke with encourages them to wait until the market gets better.
Now that was customers #2 and #3. Number one is an investor who lives in Hawaii and has property for listing in Chalmette LA. She found me directly thru Active Rain
