The latest victim of Foreclosure.....

cat

Meet Powder, the 44 pound kitty who apparently is the latest victim of a foreclosure.  He was found wandering the streets of Blackwood, NJ and turned into an animal shelter.  His owner later admitted abandoning him due to the foreclosure on her home.  The shelter is getting an average of 15 calls per hour to adopt him.  The world record for a tabby is 46 pounds, however it has been removed from the record in order to keep (lunatics) from overfeeding their cats to break the record.  The shelter claims Powder eats a "normal" diet.

There was a photo of this rather Rotund feline in our local paper yesterday... It is a HUGE cat.. and looks even bigger than the photo you have in your blog!

Susan... Pets are the unsung victims of foreclosure...  There is a cat in our neighborhood that is declawed and fixed that someone just left here when they moved out.  A neighbor has adopted her and she's doing well.

Debbie, I am a cat lover - have 2 of my own.  I just can't fathom abandoning animals.  I am glad your neighbor adopted the cat.

Susan,

This is a big cat, oh yes. 44 lb! Can't even imagine that. My 8 y.0. grandson is lighter, I think.
