The Hockey Hall of Fame was founded in 1943 to honour and preserve the history of ice hockey and those who have made outstanding contributions to the game.  HHFM collects, preserves, researches, exhibits and promotes all that is  significant to the story of ice hockey in Canada and the world.  The Hockey Hall of Fame is not just a museum, but is also a place of entertainment and education. 

The Hockey Hall of Fame is open 362 days a year-every day of the year except Induction Day (Mon. 10 Nov. 2008), Christmas Day (Thu. 25 Dec. 2008), and New Year's Day (Thu. 1 Jan. 2009).
