Hi,
I heard if you can find someone introduce you to someone in bank or asset manager that will be quicker.
ONe of my friend my our area..he did 400 BPO and get 5 listings. Numbers game.

I too am trying to get my foot in the door - I hear it is a long process but the rewards are great - I shall keep pursuing.
I revcently connected with a rep from and bank and that seems to be the way to go.
Grace 400 BPO's and only 5 lisitngs...???? WHY?
Hi, Thomas and welcome to Active Rain! Great question and i wish i knew the answer! I can't tell you how many BPOs I have done but absolutely NO Listings! I will be interested to see what you find out!
You can't start looking for REO listings at this point in the game... you should have started working towards them before they were prevalent.
Everyone wants a free lunch! They don't want to do any legwork to prep themselves to be in a good position when the time is right.
Funny how no one was posting on the net for info on how to get into REOs in 2001.

Thomas- I just wanted to stop by and welcome you to ActiveRain! I think you will find it a great place to network. Good luck with the REO's.
Cameron is right, but it should not stop you for seeking new or different opportunities. HUD is reviewing resumes this month and next for listing agents to use in 2009, so you may want to check with them(get your resume to them). All the best!

I just wanted to welcome you personally to our wonderful community! This is a great place to learn, as well as share. Check out some blogs, join some groups, and write about whatever comes to mind. In fact, some of the most effective blogs aren't about real estate at all!
If I can ever be of assistance, let me know!
Thomas,
Thanks for sharing your interest in REO's. Right now buyers are hungry for advertising that talks about foreclosures. Try the other side of the coin.
Secondly,
There's a give, give, give, attitude about everyone who's active and sharing. I wish you the best of luck and look forward to reading your future blogs. I'd love to hear your comments too. So come on by and have a visit. This is an awesome place to learn and grow.
Hi, welcome to Active Rain! I hope to see more of your blogs in the future. Learn from others, share your knowledge and experiences and enjoy yourself! Take care! ---Kirk.
