I would like to share some tips that will (hopefully) add fun and drama to your decorating and entertaining. Watch this space for updates!
First, a few random thoughts....
"CUBE it"...Group accessories in 3s. Start with a high piece, then a medium and a low. This makes a visually appealing grouping. Mix your media: maybe a tall candlestick (or lamp), a medium vase and a low bowl or figurine. Also, use toss pillows in 3s or 5s not even numbers.
"Icing on the TOP"... To raise the nap on carpets where heavy furniture pieces were placed, try placing an ice cube in the "dimple" and leave it. Voila, the naps raises and the dimple is gone!
"Feather your NEST"...buy a set of nesting tables (usually sold in a set of 3). They take up no more room than a side table or end table. When entertaining and you need a few more surfaces, pull 1 or 2 of the tables out, place them between extra chairs and you have more places for guests to set their plates or glasses. Bonus tip: Set one next to your chair (hostess) at the dining table for an extra surface for a water pitcher, gravy boat, etc.
