Are you aware that Barack Obama has removed the American flag from the tail section of his campaign plane and replaced it with a symbol of himeslf?
I am not trying to make anyone mad here but am just curious, Is this okay?
I will keep this brief.

Ron- It doesn't really surprise me, but at the same time it doesn't really bother me that much, he could of replaced it with something far worse I am guessing :-\ I wish the picture would actually show up maybe that would make it a little more upsetting to actually see it for me.
I am not sure what will happen if Barack gets elected. I am feeling that neither candidate is the right one.
Ron, I saw the picture in other places. It does not have our flag. For that matter it is no where on the plane. All I can say is we must vote. I agree with Chuck, but i have to chose the one I feel that loves America as I and most do. Try to get your photo up.
Ron: I really don't care what Obama has on his plane... just as long as he gets elected and throws all these Republican bums out of office. Just like Karl Rove when he was part of Bush's croneys... and I almost wrote Nixon just them... what a Freudian slip, I guess. Anyway... Bush and his boys... they think they are above the law. If they decide in their warped opinion that they know what is best... they just do it... and damn the Constitution. All this is going on, and you are upset about a picture on an airplane ?
I would not make too much of the removal or installation of the flag. I don't look forward to the democrats taking over if that is what happens. Higher taxes at a time when we need the government to get smaller not larger. I disagree that the Republicans are bums. The democrats are holding congress hostage so the Republicans will look bad. Just politics as usual.
Awww, don't worry, everything will be ok. I think Obama likes America just as much as he likes himself....and that's okay. The only thing not American about Obama is maybe his name.
And technically if he wins...he would be more like the first Biracial president because his mother is white LOL....(light humor)
If Barack gets elected whoopdee doo, If McCain gets elected, whoopdeedoo. There will alway be something to complain about, but all we need to do is take a trip to a 3rd world country or a country filled with warfare (bombs going off in the backyard) ...and we will be rushing to take that next flight back to the U.S. even if we dislike who's in office.
Takara, you have the right attitude. The arguing has been going on since the Revolution. Watch the HBO movie John Adams if you want to see how similar it was back then to today.
These thoughts are great! Please keep them coming. I am not upset about the removal of the flag or anything. I am on the other hand very curious how this is looked at from all sides.
Ron- After taking a day or so to think about it, it doesn't bother me at all either really, afterall I do not have an american flag on or in my work truck, but I do have a picture of my fiancee and my dog :-D The plane is essentially his work vehicle so no difference really if you think about it.
Chris, maybe a little different as he is suppose to be the BEST AMERICAN EVER to lead the rest of us. Showing the flag is PRESIDENTIAL. I can't say how I feel about either candidate and I certainly don't want to be flogged for my opinion, as you know what they say about opinions.

I am curious what every side has to say about this issue. It is kind of amazing how we all look at things so differently but we do.
According to urbanlegengds.about.com the flag logo was their from North American Airlines and Obama did refurbish the plane inside and out. The symbol is not "of himself" but a logo with the red, white & blue "look" of a flag. They go on to state that "It bears pointing out that a small American flag actually does appear on Obama's refurbished plane -- in the same (and only) location it appears on McCain's -- right next to the tail number. Another interesting fact is that apparently "John McCain's jet, though supplied by a different airline has been similarly customized"
So I would sum this up to say that it's much ado about nothing.
Ron, That is interesting isn't it? I know for a fact McCain would not do that. Interesting interview with Rick Warren the other day too. He would not comment on what his opinion was on when a fetus becomes a life, McCain firmly said at conception.

Does abortion bother the democrats or is anything okay? I am just curious. I think it atleast helps to know how each side thinks.
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama says he doesn't wear an American flag lapel pin because it has become a substitute for "true patriotism" since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. shouldnt surprise anyone he removed from his 757!
