how is that creative and effective?  Also... land rush????  Washington has been released days ago now and is far from fully sponsored.  AR appeared to have generated a terrific buzz about the sponsorship, but when the gates were opened... not much was going on.

I guess we'll hear from everyone else soon.

Jeremy, This has nothing to do with any Landrush. ;)
Patrick, No problem. This really isn't anything to check out for most people.  Really it's for real estate vendors to sell to real estate agents and such.

Cameron, They created three separate ads so that they would all display at the same time on the same page.  I took notice when they were served to me on my home page.  Regarding the Washington land rush, I totally disagree with your assessment.  We sold just under 300 communities, which is huge!

Mana, I wouldn't worry about these ads - the land rush is where it's at.

Jeremy, This has nothing to do with the Landrush.

Hi Jonathan, I am sure glad I read the comments and your responses before commenting. Now that I understand, there isn't much to say. Tomorrow is our day here in California and I am still uncertain of not so much how to navigate it but what I actually want to do. Being under 200K points though means I have to wait anyway, so I will have to see what's Jeff Dowler leaves me, lol

So, Jon, it has nothing to do with the Land Rush? LOL  I love how you began the comment and ended with basically the same statement.

Jon,

When you've gained some experience in the ad business you'll shut out this sort of advertiser rather than touting it as using your tools in a "creative and effective manner."

I'll bet you $20 that H&R Block would be shocked to learn it's a corporate partner of this operation, as claimed. And that's just for starters.

Jon,

After a bit of calmer reflection, I guess I have to admit that the hype this company engages in is fairly common and doesn't offend everyone as much as it offends me. I'm just an old-school guy who likes to pretend that words still mean something, but it's a bit unfair of me to import my standards outside my sandbox.

Jon, I am the Community Relations Director for TReX Global. I’m going to share this post with our marketing team. I’m sure they will love to hear your thoughts.

Coincidentally, Rich Jacobson had suggested the Advertising Program. I don’t think the marketing team realized there were multiple ads running on the same pages… but I’m sure they don’t mind the extra exposure :)

AR has been an interesting journey for our company. We make free web tools to save money for RE investors, and a few months back, many ActiveRainers were requesting to put our products on their websites. We recently formalized a free Partner Program that allows RE Professionals to co-brand our web tools and use them to generate investor leads from web visitors.

ActiveRain has been great to us!!! It’s a wonderful atmosphere and it provides great opportunities. And of course, we love our ActiveRain fans (like Tina and Mirella).

Once again, thanks for the compliment!
