What's Really Important !

There have been a ton of blogs about the new housing bill. After all there should be as this is a real estate oriented network. There are volumes of blogs about government bail outs taxers etc etc. Basically I read a bunch of stuff that is anti- bailout. I am generally anti- Bail out too. But there is one bail out NO ONE IS BLOGGING ABOUT.

On Feb 9 2009 all of us will convert to digital TV. If you do not have digital TV you need a box. You can get a coupon and a bail out for the box. Where is the outrage and the cry about this bail out? Are Hogans Heroes reruns more important than a 7500 housing credit? You bet they are !!!!

With out TV the face of America would change. We would probably all have skinnier faces as we would not be sitting in front of the tube. We might all need glasses as we would be reading more. You could envision folks sitting around the radio, like you see in the old movies, listening to War of the Worlds.

Yes with out a doubt TV is SO MUCH more important than housing. So please do not blog about the TV bail out. To do so would be un American. Smile have a great week.

would it be interesting if we had a total TV outage for a week?

people would actually go back to communicating and all this old fashioned stuff.

I don't actually have a functioning TV - we watch DVDs but do not have an antenna or cable.  I know it's a little different, but I enjoy it - and we do a lot of reading at my house!

Charlie, unfortunately my office in the terrace level has a desk facing a 62" HDTV w/ Surrond sound. Hmm , I better turn it on. Have a great day...

I am kind of hoping my TV does go black in February. My husband or my kids have it on constantly and more and more I find it incredibly annoying.

Bail out for housing? It is really a bail out for bad behavior and bad decisions. I am NOT in favor of the taxpayers coughing up their money so Joe/Jane over extended "homeowner" gets a pass, nor do I support bailing out wall streeters who thought loaning money to risky people was a good idea.
