Jeff Mitchell Catches Mahi Mahi off the Coast of Vero Beach Florida

Jeff Mitchell smiles broadly as he takes a day off from Real Estate and hooks a nice 12 pound Mahi Mahi off the coast of Vero Beach Florida -- these brillantly colorful fish are fun to catch and flavorful to eat -- featured fresh in season at many area restaurants.  We caught enough to share with friends.

Can I go? Pleaseeeeee! I love Mahi Mahi, dolphin fish and Dorado. Interesting that one fish could have three names, isn't it? Great post but I want a bigger picture.

Sorry for the delay -- we have been out of town visiting family.  Good timing though as we missed the deluge from Tropical Storm Fay.  At least it was 4 days and not 40 days of rain.   Are you serious about wanting a bigger copy of the fish photo?   That is my husband catching the fish, so I have the original photo, of course.

Yep the 3 names are interesting, but I never like to use the dolphin name because of the confusion with the playful mammal dolphins our grandchildren adore.  They swam with the dolphins in the keys this summer -  a real lifetime memory.
