I didn't even know what a Meme was... Oh, I get it! Me Me? LOL!

I received this from both Jeff Belonger and Yvonne Brown.  Thanks for thinking of me guys!

I guess I'm supposed to write about 5 things you don't know about me right?  Here goes, short and sweet:

1. I can't stand mayonnaise.  It absolutely grosses me out.  Please don't ask me to smear it, apply it, spread it, or touch the bottle.  Especially if it's already been in the fridge!  Any and all contact with the product must be conducted with the use of paper towels, napkins or rubber gloves!

2.  I am obsessed with scents.  I smell everything! I open every bottle of fabric softener and  laundry detergent before it enters my cart.  The same goes for dish detergent, deodorant, shampoo or conditioner, sunscreen... pretty much anything and everything that smells.

3. I buy things in duplicate.  I have pretty much given up trying to control this practice, it's futile!  Need something?  Check with me first... I probably have an extra!

4.  In addition to being a real estate agent, I am also a hair stylist.  Crazy, huh?  Actually these two industries have more in common than you might have originally thought.

5.  Last, but most importantly.  I am working with my friend Rocky to help make the world a better place.  Our goal is to bring clean and safe drinking water to the places where there is none.  We have a very interesting story as to how we met, and I came to be a member here at Active Rain.  Jeff Turner became my Project Blogger coach as a result of that friendship and it's just funny how things work out sometimes!  You can catch a glimpse of what we are trying to do by visiting us a Mothers Fighting for Others.

Hi, Julie!  Thanks for doing a Meme!  Aren't they fun?  (To read, not so much to do.)  Mayonaise grosses my husband out completely, so I can understand that little quirk.  I like the stuff, but we don't even keep it in the house!  I think the hair stylist/Realtor connection is a GREAT one.  You have a built in SOI!  Brilliant!  And YAY to you and Rocky for your work!  I want to buy one of her Muthahood shirts to wear to the gym.  (And who am I kidding, not just to the gym.)  You're doing a GREAT JOB blogging, and you've got an awesome coach!  I predict you're going to be VERY good at this!

Julie,

I LOVE mothers fighting for others. I plan on spreading this to everyone I know! It's funny because my last career was in the haircare industry. I worked with a hair care manufacturer. I'll e-mail you because they do some neat things! Thanks for sharing!

I laughed so hard when I read your meme title!  It took me awhile to realize what it meant, even after I read was a meme was...  I guess that comes with being a person that typically chooses not to talk about themselves.  A meme, for me, was just doing my AR profile for the first time!  LOL That was enough MeMe for ME!

Cute post!  Good Stuff!

Julie.....  lol    You crack me up. The mayonnaise thing is hilarious. And the scents?  lol  It's like watching my one nephew when he eats, he has to smell all of his food first....  lol

Overall, I am interested in the water thing. I enjoyed reading this. Thanks for sharing this. You should open this post up to the real estate section and possible the public, as I did. Some people made them just members only, but I have nothing to hide and I want my clients to get to know who I am also.... just my opinion.

Julie-loved your post!  The mayo is sooooo funny to me.  I am happy to see you on this network, I think you have so much to offer.  Your photo is awesome and you can see your personality shine.  I really look forwars to seeing your posts.  That's awesome you have another profession to fall back on and yes they work well together.  When I started real estate I considered going to bartending school but was afraid I would like it better than real estate.  Thanks for sharing you gave me a goooooood laugh this morning!

Julie:  Funny meme post Julie!  My youngest son also HATES "the mayo." I've also just been meme'd, had absolutely no idea what it was (at first) but had much fun doing it.  I am really enjoying learning about other AR'ers through the meme's!

Julie,

I think what you are doing in Africa is wonderful. How did you get started with that?

There was a funny scene in an Eddie Griffin movie you should watch... it was Undercover Brother - a spoof on the Black-sploitation genre... in it, he professes his distaste for Mayo

I like it except in Sushi... I know the Japanese have this thing for Mayo but blah

Julie,

They say one of the best sources of referrals come from your hair stylist! So you are a self-contained referral machine!
