Like a thief in the night...

Do you all remember my post about the flip video that was stolen from my office? Here is what it looks like:

Gone baby...gone

Gone baby...gone

It wasn't even mine. An agent let me use it to start doing video tours (which we will be offering soon with podcast and all :) ). Anyway, I received a bunch of emails from folks admitting that they did not do it, which I thought was weird but sweet. I also received emails from people asking what in the heck a flip video was.

But this isn't the point of my post. The point of my post is to let you know that, apparently, my office isn't the only one that has been invaded. Oh, did I also mention that I had $300 in cash in an envelope up in my cabinet from an agent who paid me for a listing that is gone?!

Well, I have now been informed that other peoples offices have been invaded. Funny thing is, there's no forced entry. Hmm - now I haven't always been the upstanding citizen that I now am. In fact, there was a time in my life when...well, let's just say that I'm very familiar with miranda rights. ;) No forced entry means that either a) the door was wide open when the thief came in, or b) they have a key.

A couple of people here actually staged some fake money on a desk to see if it would be moved. It was! I guess once the genius figured out it was fake, he/she opted to go ahead and pilfer the next office.

So everyone lock up. Don't keep valuables sitting out and about. They are no longer safe. Don't leave money in your office. Don't leave something sitting on your desk for a moment while you go down the hall to go to the bathroom. You may come back to find that it's gone.

To the thief - I really hope I get to catch you.

Have a great day,

Dustin...

Apparently I violated a condition of posting, although I cannot imagine what it is. I am a super high D, so I may have clicked something without realizing it. :)

Well, I STILL don't know what a flip video is, in spite of your great photo.  Too bad you can't count on the people around you to cover your back rather than rob you blind.
