Localism Land Rush is not what I thought...that's a good thing!

Ok, so I waited with anticipation today because it was Kentucky's turn for Land Grab. In all honesty, every time I heard "register for a community" I was thinking City. For example, I live in LaGrange, KY, which is a small city outside of Louisville.  So, I thought I was going to be registering for LaGrange, KY when I signed up.  But instead, I was pleasantly suprised when I realized today at Land Grab that they actually meant Neighborhoods or Subdivisions.

This is a great thing!

What this means for you (and me) is that if you live in an area with many small communities/subdivisons, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to register in an area. Sure, maybe the big dollar subdivisions will be gone quickly, but that's ok.  Maybe one of these other neighborhoods is a diamond in the rough waiting to be discovered?

For $9.00 a month (with no contractual obligation to go any longer than that), isn't worth a shot?

I think you'll be pleasantly suprised. It's very easy, and if your area is anything like mine, communities didn't go as fast as I thought they would.

I am sure many of our communities in Vegas will go very fast and I am not one of the first that gets to choose :( with only 12K points.

You never know Tony.  I have less than 25k points and was in the last group released and just about all of the communities in our area were available.  There is only a 30 minute time span between the 100k folks and the rest of us, and as you well know, even though we plan to be available at a certain time, Real Estate is an on-call job - so those folks who were planning on being there right at the release time for NV may not be available then.

I am still skeptical, but I hope all goes well with the land rush.
