Don't let The Newbie Police Put your Blog in Jail, ( SORRY NEWBIES )

I finally understood everything after the body cavity search that I received.  It's all good now.

Yes, I must admit I too have posted blogs in the wrong group in error.  It is a very bad feeling when you get the email saying your post has been removed.  I recommended something to pop up and describe each group when selecting them to send your blog to.  Perhaps someday this will happen, and fewer mistakes will be made.

Paul, many of us have posted to the wrong group.  Thanks for not being upset with the Newbie Group Moderator (there are 6) for removing your post.  They are just trying to keep the Group on topic to make it easier for Newbies to find the information they are looking for. 

Yes, you can edit your post to remove from a group or groups to another group or groups where it will be on topic.

Paul: Don't feel bad. I've been here for over two years, and one of my posts were given the boot earlier today!

I have not gotten the boot yet from a group, but I know someday I will.  Keep the good attitude, Paul - great way to turn lemons into lemonade with this post.

This is the complete reason why I haven't posted anything yet....I keep looking for the strongest limb to go out on. I'm glad to see you (and I) can survive the blog jail.

I got busted twice yesterday but it was probably a stretch on my part. I'm so over it.

I'm a newbie and I just had two of mine bounced.  One was a helpful "Tip" Tool to make widgets and postlets for ActiveRain site and blogs.  The other one was newbie inspiration about ActiveRainers helping AR. 

It doesn't bother me either.  I now get that helpfull tip's or tools for AR and AR inspiration are boobo nu nu...

Paul - I made the same "mistake".  I think I had 2 posts removed from there - it is all good.  The first one scared me like I did something wrong but once I read the group info again it made sense.  There was also a post about it in the group.

It is one of my favourite groups as I am constantly learning more info from it.  But I would think the police would be out more as there always seems to be a ton of posts in there that should get the boot, similar to ours... or I am sure they will... LOL

Paul - Guilty here too. I finally managed to learn to edit the errant blog by removing  this group from the post but only after receiving a couple of emails and at last realizing that I could fix the problem. It is just part of the learning process!

Ditto - guilty as charged.  Just read where I did the same - posted a blog there because I am always looking there.

Seriously - any one that's posted more than a couple of posts has had that happen...  The worse (should you make a mistake that we all do) is that your post will be removed from that group...  You're not in blogger jail...

What can you do ?  I have had several posts get kicked out of certain groups.  I got my 30,000 point milestone kicked out of the Newbie section as well - I thought that was somewhat appropriate showing a newbie what can be done... and then when you look at what is in there, it is all similar posts... What Ev... let's not sweat the small stuff !

Thank you for the pointer.  I'm sure I'll "step in that" sometime down the line, but may as well start off with the habit of checking the guidelines before hitting that submit button.  You said your wife helps you with your blogging.  Is she available to work part time? 

Very good title.  I got hit by the bogging police.  I think it is a good wake up call actually.  It probably does scare some people away but it is good to read the guidelines for all groups.
