I actually did not realize the kids could be at risk for osteoporosis.  I always think of it as an older, woman's disease.  Thanks for the info.

Recently caught up on some interesting info on Lexor Health Vitamin D3. As children, and even babies, are more prone to bone deformities, adequate intake of Vitamin D3 is important. In fact, children should get a daily dose of 200 IU of Vitamin D3 to reduce the risk of bone related complications such as rickets.
