Reaching out on the Internet

By
Real Estate Agent with Skyline Properties, Inc.

Well it is obvious now that the internet is the best place to market your listings.  The biggest contender now is having your listing standout against all of the others.  I guess I am going with the full blanketing approach across the web with Realtor.com, Trulia.com, Craigslist.com and so forth.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to increase websearch crawls on personal websites or is it really just a guessing game of picking the best keywords.

Well....back to searching for another site to put my listings on!  Best of luck!

I believe back linking will get more crawls for you.  Having back links on other sites to your website gets it crawled.  Like why did you not back link to your website in the above blog.  You should be doing that every time you blog.  I.e.  Hyperlink  "redmond real estate washington" back to your website or "redmond homes for sale"

Jason-Long time no see, it's Kevin Pierce.  There are many methods to improve your search engine optimization.  Start with the basics.  Keywords, description and title.  Check out my site www.cascadehomeinspections.net, right click on the home page and click "view source".  You should see this towards the top:

<title>Home Inspections Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, Olympia & Greater Puget Sound</title>
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
<meta name="robots" content="index,follow" />
<meta name="description" content="Performing home inspections in Seattle, Tacoma, Bellevue, Olympia" />
<meta name="keywords" content="Tacoma home inspector, seattle home inspection, bellevue home inspections, home inspector in olympia" />
<style type="text/css">
a { text-decoration:none }
</style>
  <title>Home Inspections Seattle Tacoma Bellevue Olympia</title>

Choose keywords wisely.  It's better to have 5 very specific keywords than 100 broad keywords.  Choose keywords that someone would type into the search engine.  Most important is to have the keywords in the body of the page.  The spiders look for this.  I've got a lot more info if you're interested.  Let me know.  Also, remember it takes time too.  Even if everything is set up perfectly, it takes time for the spiders to index your site.

Hi Jason - Welcome to AR.  One thing that might help is to work on your Active Rain profile.  Look at other profiles here.  Look at mine - not that it is a masterpiece, but it comes up in Google searches pretty well.  I have my main keywords on my profile.  Throw a picture in there - of your area, your family, a house.......

And put a link to your website on there, too.  Good luck, Jason, any questions - shoot me an email or give me a call.

Very good point, profiles are important.  Google "certified tacoma home inspector".....guess who?  Here's a great blog about SEO: http://activerain.com/blogsview/644100/SEO-Mastery-on-site
