Don't miss your chance to see some beautiful quilts still on display until September 7th, 2008 at The Riverside Museum.

These quilts are like fabric documents which record the stories of individuals, family and the community.  These textiles are multi-layered and hold the history and cultural heritage of the past.

Also on display are “The Life and Art of Charles M. Schulz” until September 14th, 2008.  Exhibit materials are examples of Peanuts comic strips, Schulz quotes and photographs, Baseball memorable, bobble head dolls, banners, and an over-sized Snoopy doll decked out in his favorite team uniform.

Denise- I love to quilt  and have not done so for many years. When 5 of my kids were small I used to make quilts for them. 20- 28 years later they still have their baby quilts and cuddle with them:)

Katerina- That's so nice to hear that you loved to quilt!  Perhaps in time you will be able to pick it up again when life is not so busy.  I myself have never quilted, but it's never to late to get started.

Quilts really do tell a story as I am sure your 5 kids-(now adults) will testify to that. Those quilts you made with love, I am sure will be passed on to their children's, children.  There is nothing more precious than a hand crafted item (made by Mom) that can bring about so many fond childhood memories. Thanks for stopping by:)
