Myself, like so many others here started blogging and learned the hard way how to construct a post or virtual ad, how to add the right pictures, how to optimize the pictures, how to avoid hitting your head against the writers block wall, and how to make the entire post worthy of reading.
While the education continues and we should all be learning everyday, this group is our way of giving back to the community that has taught us so much. Isn't that what EXiT is all about? The Pass-Me-Down, Mentoring philosophy.
Let this group and post be a Practice AND/OR Learning Area for you, a playground of blogging if you will.
YOUR FIRST TIP: Now that you've started AR, let's consider a simply optimization of your photos. When you post any pics, inlcuding your beautiful mug shot (no comments about mine), simply do the following before you post it anywhere online. Find you picture on your computer, right click on it and rename it to whatever you want the search engine spiders to notice. ie Lakeshore Specialist MN 55408.
Why optimize the pictures before Posting? Each DPI of digital color carries those same pieces of spider bait for search engines. When people google those words, your virtual ads and/or postings will surface on the front page of the major search engines. For example, this picture is feeding the search engines a key set of words. Any idea what they might be? Scroll your mouse over the picture and I'll let you know:
So from this point on, whenever you take digital photos and upload them to your websites, AR, the mls Craigslist. Please remember to rename before posting them. Rename them with words that might help tell a story.
Here is another example. The following picture was originally saved as DSC096554 I right clicked on this photo and renamed it to. Mouse over and see???

Once you develop your abilities to post optimized images and have the link out to other areas consider signing off your posts with some user friendly optimized images that clearly offers your consumers to link out to their favorite sites you actually service. Here is an example:
