I know it has taken some time now, but the market is finally picking up for my area. We are very busy. I have 4 buyers I'm taking out on Saturday and I just fedexed an offer on a property today to be signed. I thought this article would was true in certain areas. Would like to know if other fellow realtors are feeling the same.

My area is starting to pick up also . I actually have four deals in escrow which is more than I have done in the last year and a half at one time. The bank owned properties that are in good shape and priced low are being snatched up.
The phone is ringing, but it's still a little slow on showings here in middle Tennessee. Meeting some buyers tonight to discuss making an offer on one of my listings, I just hope that they're not "lowballers".
Activity is definitely picking up in NJ. We are in the middle of a perfect storm. Home prices are still declining, inventory is at the largest levels ever, and rates are still very good. Right now is the time to buy. Even if prices drop a little more, the savings will be cancelled out by rates going up as fear of inflation grows. Something we have seen working is to educate FTHBs about the $7500 tax credit contained in the bill signed by President Bush last week.
Maureen, I think we are BOTTOM right now. I'm in the midwest, things are picking up. Deals are the game, it's gotta be a deal, foreclosure, etc to move. IF it's not a deal, it's sitting.
I agree with April here in the midewest we may have already hit the bottom. The past few weeks have been awesome. I have 3 deals scheduled to close next week. I havent seen this kind of action in a while.
Yup, we are seeing the bottom of our market snapped up by investors right now - I think we will look back at this summer as being the bottom - at least in some markets.
Same here in Kingman AZ. 3 new buyers yesterday.....contracts coming in!
It's all about hard work and positive attitude.
Things are not so bad here in the Bay area and we are still seeing the right house go with multiple offers. Our difference right now is I have more buyers who just don't want to get involved with a multiple offer.
