The price of a home Being effected by a hardwood floor?

By

I have always been told for as long as I can remember that hardwood adds value to your home.  Running a hardwood floor store I could not agree more I think we should put it on walls and ceilings.  But I wonder, and I am asking you professionals in the field for help, How much does a hardwood floor effect the selling price of a home?  And if the floor is worth more I wonder if the cost incurred will balance out in the customers favor when selling the home?  Does it help the home move on the market?  What is that worth?  Thought just popped in my head had to put it down.

You might want to look at the latest cost vs value report.  It is hard to say whether there is a 100% return but hardwood floors are certainly more popular than carpet right now.

Thank you freind,

In your experience what have you found? I could put in 1000 sq ft for around 6000 dollars.  I am wondering if you were to go into a home and see that it had oak flooring in the home all the way through would you think hmmm, I can get extra out of this home on the market?  if so how much extra would you expect to get?

Stay in touch.
