Localism: What's it all about?

By
Real Estate Agent with Backyard Realty Group LLC

I am relatively new still to AR and I have heard a lot about Localism.  I logged in and took a look at the site, I find it pretty interesting.  However, I am confused.  What does it mean to sponsor a community?  I see that it costs but it gives no information as to how much or what sponsoring entails.  Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I am trying to figure it out as well. A local broker told me how it works, but I am checking further. I beleive it has some merit, and can make money for those who participate.

All the best.

I will e-mail you if I get any more information.

Jason, Here is a link to the New Localism Group.  Most all of your questions are answered by the AR crew.  In general, the sponsorship is $9 and allows you a prominent place on your community's site.  Note that you can earn top position in your community by contributing quality, local content.

Hi Jason, just wanted to ditto what Erik wrote.  The New Localism Group as well as the posts from AR will explain it as it evolves.  It is important to know it is a work in progress and we must be patient.  Good luck.

The way I get there is when your looking at your HOME page wiithin Active Rain -- click on your city and then you will see a link for localism on the left -- click on the link and you will see the articles posted for your community and the photos now as well.  Post to localism and become the expert that consumers are looking for.  Make it a profitable day!
