If you like a funny story read this. If you have any of your own, please share them.

While on an inspection, it was necessary to enter the attic crawlspace through a small trap door in an upstairs closet. There were some items blocking the opening, so the homeowner... a very nice gentleman in his fifty's volenteered to move them.

While moving some of the items, he came across a luggage that he didn't seem to recongnize. Since he was curious he opened it and to his supprise he found 6 apples and an envelope that contained $1,500.00. The man appeared baffled. I went about my business.

Some time had passed and I was well into the attic when I heard the front door open and close and somone come up the stairs and enter the room. As I turns out, it was the gentleman's wife. They had a brief conversation and although I wasn't trying to listen, I could hear everything that was said.

Well, now the subject of the strange luggage came up. I heard the man ask his wife about the luggage.  His wife became very quiet and then in an appolegetic tone admitted to her husband that in all of the years that they had been married, she had not always been faithful. And thd every time she had "cheated" on him she had her lover give her an apple.

I could hear the man calculate out loud..." thirty years, 6 apples... that's not so bad". "But Honey, what about the $1,500.00? She answered, "oh, every time I had a bushel I sold it".
