I was recently talking with some Realtors in our industry. It was a very informal conversation about the little irritating things in our industry. Then one of the agents starting complaining about the lack of business. Needless to say he got reamed by some of us. Yes US. I reamed him to. Don't get me wrong we weren't teasing him just letting him know that our business needs to be worked at. So we asked him question after question. Finally I asked him to think about where his time was being spent.
"Well I work at the business" Again we asked how?
" I I ah well you know answer the phone on floor time. "
He finally admitted he really wasn't working at the business but waiting for it to come to him....
So I have a question for you as the ACTIVE RAIN COMMUNITY...
Here are some things this poor agent learned wasn't helping his business grow. Can you add to this list?
This list is compiled during business hours. Free time is free time
---working at home on non-business related things(gardening, household duties and so forth)
---shopping or looking for items other than Real Estate related
---getting out of bed after 10:30 AM
---Quiting the day early
---complaining about the industry to anyone who will listen
---searching the Internet for other than Real Estate issues
---Doing honey do's ( Hey we all are guilty of this one)
---XBOX Live
---Chatting online
---Fantasy sports online
---playing games on the computor
These were items we got out of him that he was doing along with some we chimed in on.
So how do you waste or know of someone wasting time?
