On a warm, spring day I ventured out into our fair town of Sandy, Oregon.
Today, I decided to pay a visit to a business that has been in Sandy for many years.
Wasson Brothers Winery is owned and operated by Oregon natives Jim Wasson and his twin brother, John. The Wasson Brothers have been in the wine-making business locally for 26 years.
There are many different kinds of wines that the Wasson Brothers offer. About half of the wines produced are grape wines that are grown in Oregon City. The other half of wines produced are fruit and berry wines.
Here is Jim standing proudly next to his delicious wines. Jim's favorite is the Pinot Noir. Some of the bestsellers are the Niagra, Blackberry, and Raspberry wines.
In addition, Wasson Brothers produces Spumanti, Sparkling Niagra, Sparkling Rhubarb, Rhubarb, Loganberry, Reisling, Chardonnay, Cabernet, Gewurtztraminer, Oregon White Reisling, Early Muscat, Zinfandel and Oregon Gewurtztraminer.
If you would like to try these unique wines, the tasting room is open for FREE wine tastings from 9-5 Monday through Saturday and from 10-5 on Sundays. It is located just off Highway 26. Stop by on your way home from the mountains or on your way to Central Oregon. You will find the perfect wine for your occasion.
