I am always looking for better ways to run my real estate business. That includes money saving ideas (that make sense), time savers, efficient systems and ways to bring life balance. Here is one of my latest finds.
Last week, I showcased a new technology while teaching at the 2008 Orlando Star Power Conference. Many of the smart people in my session have already stated they were going to sign up for the service including Star Power Stars Ed Birdsong and Buddy West. The technology is a Top Producer partnered product.
Okay, here's the scoop. I place a rider on my real estate signs that have a message like this:
For Instant Info, Text HOME851 to 23333
Go ahead, take your cell phone now and test it. Be sure to click on the link to see the photos. Now here is the really cool stuff. I get an instant message on my cell phone that someone is looking at the property. I also get the prospects phone number added to the lead section my Top Producer. HOW COOL IS THAT? Within the hour, I send back a text message thanking them for using the service and offer to show them the house or provide an email list of all the other homes in the neighborhood. By the way, they usually call back and give me their name, home phone and email address so I can get the list to them. You do the rest....
For the past month now I have been using this and I am impressed by the results I am getting. Allen Hainge also featured me as using this new cutting-edge technology at his CyberStar Summit last week as well as on his latest Blog.
There are other reasons I like this technology. I have eliminated flier boxes from my listings. That means I don't have to my staff to send them our to check on the boxes of unoccupied listings. It's also GREEN meaning no paper is used and eliminates the need for paper fliers. It is also pretty cool when you can sit in front of a prospective listing client and demonstrate our points of difference.
