Welcome to Fort Shafter, Hawaii Home of the United States Army Pacific Command (USARPAC)

Ft. Shafter, Hawaii is located on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. It is home to the United States Army Pacific Command (USARPAC) and commands most of the Army forces in the Asia-Pacific region with the exception of the Army forces in Korea.

There are approximately 5,000 Soldiers, civilians, contractors and family members that live and work at Ft. Shafter. The units that fall under the command of USARPAC are: 25^th Infantry Division and US Army Hawaii, US Army Alaska, US Army Japan, 9^th Theatre Support Command, 9^th Regional Readiness Command, I Corps, 94^th Army Air Missile Defense Command, 516^th Signal Brigade, 196^th Infantry Brigade, 500^th Military Intelligence Brigade, 311^th Theatre Signal Command and 8^th Theatre Sustainment Command.

As with all military installations on Oahu, Hawaii you are never far away from enjoying some great off-duty activities. The island of Oahu, Hawaii is 608 square miles. It is 44 miles long and 33 miles across making it the 3^rd largest island in the Hawaiian Island chain.

Cities that are nearby these installations are Honolulu, Schofield Barracks, Ft. Shafter, Hickam Air Force Base, Marine Corps Base Kaneohe, Camp Smith, Pearl Harbor, Mililani, Ewa Beach, Kapolei, Makakilo, Ko'Olina, Kahala, Diamond Head, Portlock in Hawaii Kai, Waialae Iki, Kaneohe, Waialua, North Shore of Oahu and Waikiki. There are many, many more but these are a few.

Within close proximity to Ft Shafter, Hawaii you will also find other military installations such as: Schofield Barracks, Wheeler Army Airfield, Pearl Harbor, Hickam Air Force Base, Tripler Army Medical Center, Camp H.M. Smith, Marine Corps Base Kaneohe and Barbers Point Naval Air Station. MILITARY BASES, POSTS AND FORTS ON OAHU, HAWAII AND POHAKALOA TRAINING AREA BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII

Schofield Barracks: Mililani, Wahiawa, Kapolei, Waipahu, Ewa Beach, Waipahu, Makakilo, Oahu, Hawaii Schofield Barracks and adjoining Wheeler Army Airfield are the 2nd Brigade, 3rd Brigade, Aviation Brigade, 45th Sustainment Brigade and the 8th Military Police Brigade. In addition, the 8th Theatre Sustainment Command, 65th Engineer Battalion, 25th Special Troops Battalion and the 556 Personell Service Battalion are also part of the Division team and play an integral role in the success of the Division.

There are also two Brigades that are stationed in other locations. The 1st Brigade is stationed at Ft. Lewis, Washington and the 4th Brigade is stationed at Ft. Richardson, Alaska.

The 25th Infantry Divison has proudly served in numerous wars and conflicts around the globe. The Soldiers that make up the division are currently deployed to several locations to include Iraq.
