No Down Turn For Missoula, Montana Housing Market.  

Some Missoula residents area being priced right out of the market.

While the rest of the nation watches prices fall, housing prices in Missoula County are still on the rise.

The median home price in Missoula County has increased $20,000 over the year before, which means the median priced home in Missoula is now out of reach for the median income family. The report shows that to buy a median priced home a family would have to earn $58,128 a year, while the current median household income in Missoula is $43,200.

Hi Cheryl, Thank you for your response.  I think Montana has a unique  housing environment.  I wonder what true affordable housing would look like.

Hi Cheryl,  I agree with you.  Living in Montana is a treat.  For me, the beauty of the mountains, valleys, rivers and lakes in Western Montana is inspiring and truly food for the soul.
