Learning more about Real Estate!

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

Today I've been reading more literature about Real Estate, I eventually want to become a realtor myself along side of my husband. I understand that it takes years to master the whole concept of being a realtor and I feel I have the right attitude. I enjoy working with the public, working on the computer, and managing my day. I enjoy learning from my husband and his co-workers in the office. If anyone has any ideas that they can share with me, I'm up for suggestions.

Thank you,

Denise

It's actually a very good time to start (when the market's down).  It can take a year to actually have an idea of what you're doing - so it could work out very well for you.  Stay focussed on Referrals !!!

Hi Denise......When I got into Real Estate I tried to LEARN and do everything, which got to the point of becoming overwhelming...I wanted to do this ...and that...and some of this...and some of that...It got to the point where I started everything but couldn't follow-up because I was spred all over the place...No follow-up = No business. The best advice I could give you is this: Become great at a FEW things...Find a niche and stick with it..Stay away from NEGATIVE people and take advantage of ANY training that is available..

Like Jim mentioned above...It's a great time to start while the market is slow, and by the time you get to your comfort zone hopefully the market will pick up again and you can ride the next wave..

It sounds like you already have a headstart on the average person since you're already around Real Estate everyday with your husband.......Good luck with everything...and get Licensed NOW!!
