Do people care if a house can talk??

I am embarking on a new journey in my home marketing plan real soon.  I have purchased a program called "Talking House".  Just to give you a brief idea of what "Talking House" is I will describe it as best I can.  This program is basically a radio transmitter with a pre recorded message which I record that will broadcast to potential buyers sitting outside of a home for sale via their car radio.  All Mr. and Mrs. Buyer have to do is tune their radio dial in and listen to my glowing voice describe all the wonderful features of the home.

I am just not sure if people would tune in or they would rather have a flyer to take with them.  I think it is a neat added marketing idea but I am undecided if people will love it as much as I think  I will!  The intent is to generate excitement about the home that is for sale and hopefully encourage people to call me for a tour.  We shall see how it goes.  I will update the blog as soon as I get the transmitters and have the opportunity to try them.

Feel free to send me a message letting me know how wonderful or even hairbrained of an idea you think it is.  Afterall I do it all for my client's and potential client's!  Till next time America!

Andrew,

Your idea has been around for quite awhile so it must be working for some.  It wouldn't work in my Hilton Head market as we rarely have property signs.....they're just not allowed in most plantations.  Anyway, good luck to you----hope you have great success with it.

Andrew,

I know when my girlfriend and I were viewing homes a couple of years ago, she would get all giddy when we came across one of these talking homes. She would make me slow down so that we could listen to the talking tour. I would really encourage you to have the flyers there as well, so that they can jump out and grab something to refer back to later. The combination of the two would probably be the most beneficial to a potential buyer.

The talking home idea is also a great way to pick up other potential listings. It's just another tool in your bag to be able to show sellers how you would market their home.

Welcome to ActiveRain by the way. If you have any questions about anything on the site, do not hesitate to ask. I've been here from the beginning and have a pretty good handle on the ins and outs of the site.

Hey Andrew! I used a similar system for my Christmas light show. People could tune in and listen to Christmas music while they enjoyed the show. It could get pricey though, if you have tons of listings.

Andrew:

I have used Talking House in the past. It is a great listing tool, and I believe you get the information to more potential buyers. I have had sellers list with me because of the service provided. Good lluck and happy selling.

That is a great idea, Andrew. In marketing one needs to differentiate one strategy from the rest of the crowd. This talking house idea gives house seeking something unexpecting and that creates a lasting impression. I would even suggest adding the talking house idea to your mls pictures online.

By the way, dud, if you are looking for some extra backlinks you can add your site to this real estae directory - www.realout.com
