Hello and Greetings,

I would like to take a moment to share with you my thoughts on the current real estate market. I have an excellent and unique perspective of the market because when the market turned in 2006 from a sellers market to a buyers market, I was the second highest producer in the Brookings Harbor area. Despite the media news of a bleak real estate market across the United States in 2007, I was recently honored as the number 1 highest producing agent by sales and dollar volume for the entire County (all of Curry County). 2007 was a great year for my clients and I. I was recently voted by the people of Brookings as their "Favorite Realtor of the Year 2008." I am not bragging but I want to instill in you a sense of...maybe I should listen to this person. :)

I have a new and cutting edge strategies for marketing my listings so if you are thinking of listing your home now or any time in the future please think of me. If you are thinking of buying property...NOW is the time to be a buyer.  Interest rates are still very low by historical standards but that could change after the presidential election later this year. Homes prices have dropped in our area and are now more realistic. Many factors at work now are creating the perfect environment to obtain a new home as a first time buyer, move up or down in size, buy investments that will certainly appreciate in a few years.

The most important economic variable that is going to happen in the next few years is....the baby boomers are going to start retiring in large numbers.The beautiful oceanfront community of Brookings Oregon located just 6 miles north of the California border will attract thousands of people currently living in large cities for a variety of reasons. This will drive prices up so todays' prices are a good investment and don't forget the interest rates could go up significantly. Lending requirements are also increasing so getting a loan is easy today compared to whit it will be in the future. When money is available to buyers at good rates and lenders are lending it is a good time to make your move.

Congratulations,

You are right pointing to the baby boomers. We do not even understand how this would change our lives. THe affect of baby boomers going into the retirement will be overwhelming
