Always do more than expected.

I just received this from a mentor:

The reason a lot of people don't recognize opportunity is because it usually goes around wearing overalls looking like hard word. - Thomas Edison, considered one of the most prolific inventors in history, holding 1,093 U.S. patents, as well as many patents in the United Kingdom, France and Germany.

Very true!  Opportunity is all around us.  Most of us cannot even see it.

However, in the real estate business we can hurt ourselves by not facing reality. and being smart. It is true to look for the opportunity but to be blind to the real world can be dangerous. In these time, a combination of the right place and hard work goes a long way. Problem is only half the equation is there since the right place is not necessariy real estate at this time. But when the place is right, and we work smart, I do believe it will pay big dividends.

Great point :-) Many of us are constantly walking around with our blinders on and fail to recognize a good opportunity.

Thanks for the comments on the quote..

But I have to politely disagree with Hollis. Because of our expertize and our talents in these difficult times this is the exact perfect time for us all to be in real estate.

I firmly believe we Realtors have the greatest opportunity today to show what we can do.
