I live and work in downtown Nanaimo, and like anyone that lives and works downtown, I have had my share of parking tickets. I really think there must be a better way to handle parking downtown. Here we are on one hand, trying to encourage investment & development in the downtown, yet we work diligently to ticket anyone that misses a parking meter payment. The end result is a band of unhappy former customers, spreading ill will about how unpleasant it was to shop downtown all around Nanaimo...does this make sense? I say, have parking meters etc, but relax big time on the enforcement. John Cooper
