What is it about these milestones?

Why is it that we get all excited about reaching each 10,000 point milestone? I think it just looks neat with all of the zeros. Just like when your car does it on the odometer or when the stock market hits those milestones. Everyone goes crazy for it and so have I.

Does anyone know why we a people enjoy reaching these goals or milestones? In reality it's just one point more than 49,999 but we don't celebrate that number yet 50,000 is sacred. Anyway, I made it to 50,000 points and I am happy about it even it's a weird thing to do!

I think its because so many people are not doing what you are doing to get the points. It takes time and you should celebrate it.

Congrats on the milestone ! It shows effort and work. I enjoy reading your posts. As far as why people like it, not sure... I think it was brilliant as it offers incentive and a bit of competitiness I guess ? I think people just like to know they are being rewarded perhaps too. Either way, it is all good ! Will look foward to more of your posts and info !
