Marina City Club
4337 Marina City Drive
Marina del Rey 90292
Built in 1970, the Marina City Club was Marina del Rey's first highrise and original condominium complex. More of a resort than a residence, it offers a amenities galore. Its three distinctive curved towers, with 600 private residences, overlook the marina, the coastline, the green hillsides and the city. I've heard that Howard Hughes owned a part of the land that the Marina City Club was built on.
In addition to valet parking, switchboard services, banquet and conference facilities, and full security, the complex has a tennis club with six tennis courts, three racquetball courts, two paddle tennis courts, and ping pong; a 16,000-square-foot fitness center with classes, three swimming pools, trainers and nutritionists; a bar/restaurant and café; a day spa with steam, sauna, Jacuzzi and an assortment of treatment options; an on-site convenience store and beauty parlor; a yacht club; and a year-round schedule of tournaments and social events. As aformentioned they have an amazing tennis pro who lives next door to me. Prices range from $300,000 studios, to bigger units at $1 million and up and then everything in between. Big views.
Here is a really interesting link about Howard Hughes and his involvement with this complex. Even metions ties w/ Nixon.
