Altamonte Springs is primarily known as an up and coming city of big business, thanks to Uptown Altamonte, a center of malls, retails shops and high rise apartment buildings.  Give credit to the city of Altamonte Springs for building this small empire of retail in less than 25 years!  However, just because Altamonte Springs has grown up in its urban outlook doesn't mean that it has abandoned its rural beginnings.  There are several beautiful parks and lake areas worth mentioning.  These will be of high interest to investors hoping to buy real estate in Altamonte Springs.

The first park to consider is Cranes Roost Park.  This lakeside park is 37 acres of scenic beauty, holding one mile of lighted boardwalk, many pavilions and a wide variety of plant life.  In addition to its natural scenery, the park also has some modern amenities that guests never take for granted.  These amenities include a floating stage, a 900-seat amphitheater, restrooms (and handicapped accessible ones at that) and a ranger station.  Cranes Roost Park is one of the city's most important single attractions-in fact, it is the foundation that Uptown Altamonte was built around.  Many of the city's biggest events take place in the park, including concerts, art festivals and firework shows.

There are also other parks and lake areas worth noting.  Hermit's Trail is a smaller park that offers fun to all families with its equipped playground and covered picnic areas.  Lake Lotus Nature Park was only opened in the mid-1990s but has already won a large following thanks to its mission of offering a passive conservation park.  Nature lovers will find plenty to do at Lotus, including a jogging or nature walking trail, a fishing pier, playgrounds, picnics and wetlands. Lake Lotus Nature Park is characterized by its "Old Florida" setting, with numerous trails and long boardwalks.  There are also park professionals that guide visitors around the area, explaining some of the wildlife and flora life that inhabit the park.

Another location worth considering is the Lake Orienta Public Boat Ramp and Recreational Area.  This small park still provides plenty of relaxation, since it devotes one and a half acres to picnics and recreation.  It also has easy access to Lake Orienta, which offers even more activities for visitors since its lakes measure 135 acres.  Visitors can fish, ski and swim at this popular location.  Sunshine Park is another small park offering comfortable walkways and benches for a quieter day of nature appreciation.  Turnbull Avenue is the last park to consider, and it offers playground equipment, picnic tables and other amenities of interest to families with children.

If you are interested in real estate in Altamonte Springs, Florida then start your research by becoming aware of the two personalities of the city.  Altamonte Springs, Florida has a thriving urban center with areas like Cranes Roost Park and Uptown Altamonte; however, it also offers more rural-minded escapist activities in its parks.  Altamonte Springs, Florida is one of the most promising cities for new Florida real estate.
