The fist ever green spec home is about to hit the market in Southampton Village. As town and village officials talk about changing building codes to reflect a more sustainable and energy efficient building future- a New York City developer has been busy at work building what is slated to be a "net zero" home. This means that is will produce all or close to all the energy that it uses. The technology is here and this forward thinking developer wants to demonstrate that through this project and hopefully educated and motivate alot more builders to build green and customers to demand green homes.
