Virtual Reality
Right now so many in our industry are not sitting back and joining those that are focusing on excuses as to why they are not producing at the same level when the market was thriving. There are plenty of Top Producers out there that are putting in a lot of sweat and hardwork to compensate as they see all the opportunities. It is the quality of their efforts that make the difference, not the quantity of hours put in.
I was raised on a work ethic which said you should work “mega-hard” in order to accomplish your goals and stay ahead of your competition. Flashback to the 1950’s to see my grandmother, a South Florida Real Estate Broker, taking me along to her weekend open houses. She never took a day off – working 7 days a week up until she passed away at 80 years old. I followed in her footsteps and became a real estate broker.
I spent over 2 decades judging myself by what I physically put into my work in time & hours until I finally realized it was a time for a business model change.
Work SMART, but not so HARD!
Instead of working 50-60 hrs a week or just clocking the actual time I put in, I have learned to automate, use process management, all the new e-technology and make my office & company work virtually. All the stress, headaches, and overhead have been reduced to a minimum and I am happy and enjoying my life AND STILL MAINTAIN THE SAME LEVEL OF SUCCESS IN MY BUSINESS.
So even in times when the market is not as hectic as it was a couple of years ago you don’t need to feel compelled to work OVERTIME to make it happen. You will find that when you are rejuvenated, less stressed out and enjoying your life that your business prospers with you.
What types of changes have you made to automate your office / procedures?
