What a Game!

For those of you who love pitchers duels stop reading!  For all the rest I let me give you a recap of the game between the Boston Red Sox and the Texas Rangers last night.  The final score was Sox 19 and the Rangers 17.  Yes that score is correct!  This was not a game between the Patriot and the Cowboys.   David Ortiz hit not one, but two, three run home runs in the first inning with the Red Sox putting up 10 runs before the frame ended.  Amazingly by the end of the sixth inning the score was 16-14 in favor the Texas Rangers.  Talk about a team that doesn't know the word quit and who swing the bats amazingly!  The Red Sox pitchers couldn't get anyone out for long stretches at a time.  Then out of nowhere the Red Sox bats got hot again putting up 4 runs in the eight to take a 19-16 lead.  Even Papelbon surrender a run to the mighty Rangers, but was able with the tying run at the plate to close the door.  Imagine getting a save when your team has a ten run lead in the first.  All I can say is what a game!

Wow, when I caught the score last night it was 10-2 (Bostons favor).  That was the last score I saw.

Now I wonder if they will have any pitchers left for tonight?
