News FLASH - New Airstrip coming to Brunswick County.

The FAA just approved the addition of an airstrip to the Sandy Creek area of Brunswick county. Builders will start this project soon upon closing on the land and expect to have the runway and several hangars complete by August 2009.  Pilots call me and I will be happy to provide you with information if you are looking for hangar space or an airpark lot. Sandy Creek Airpark will be located at 3199 Maco Road, minutes from downtown Wilmington.  Sandy Creek intends to offer more in the way of commercial and hangar space. By the completion of the project there will be a repair facility, fuel and restaurant at the location.

Residential FLying lots are available for $ 100,000. You can build a flyin home in this community.

Joe,

I'm not Kathy but Wilmington NC is on the Coast of North Carolina approx. 75 miles north of Myrtle Beach SC (Seems like everybody knows where that is). Brunswick County is just south of Wilmington, NC and it borders South Carolina to the south and Pender County to the north, the county that Wilmington is located. I have a beach house in Oak Island, NC which is in Brunswick County.  You have got me on where 3199 Maco Road, I have not been there.  Maybe we can get Kathy to post a Map of the new Airpark.  What say Kathy?

Hello Joe:

Thanks for your interest. Wilmington is like Thom said on the southeastern coast of NC between the Atlantic Ocean on the east and the Cape Fear River on the west. It is a gorgeous area to live and play. The weather is extremely desireable. Beaches are wonderful and the town has a lot to offer.

Brunswick county southeast of Wilmington is fastest growing state in NC and the US.

I would be happy to send you a link about this new airpark if you email me with your address.

Development will begin in October 208 and runway and first hangars expected to be complete 8/2009.

This is a wonderful opportunity to get in on the ground floor of the only airpark in Brunswick County.

Thanks for sharing these resources, I came across a great eBook "Airpark Life" It talks about the essential questions you should ask before investing into airpark real estate - http://ridgelandingairpark.com/airpark-life-ebook/
