The Trails is an established subdivision in Ormond Beach. North of Grananda Ave (Rt.40), it is accessible from both Granada Ave and from the main entrance on Nova Road right pass the Trails Shopping Center.
Besides The Trails, there is also Trails North Forty to the West and Trails South Forty south of Granada.
The Trails 
were built starting from late 70. The development was very sensitive to the existing trees, and this makes it beautiful with all those mature trees and lush vegetation. There are 382 properties in the Trails, you can see some of them in a slideshow below.
West part of the Trail borders Tomoka River, which is navigable for smaller boats, and has access to Intracoastal Waterway and the ocean. YOu can find one of the nicest homes with incredible vistas on that scenic river, reminiscent of Old Florida.
One of the best Shopping Centers in Daytona Beach Area is at the entrance to the residential subdivision and bears the same name: Trails Shopping Center.
Less than 3 miles to the Ocean, and about 3 miles to I-95, this is a perfect location in the middle of bustling area, and light years aways from the noise of the city.
