Detroit... What can we do now?

All of my life I have been told of how bad Detroit Michigan was. I have a love that comes from my father for Detroit. When I was a kid we would drive around and he would tell stories of what it use to be like and how it got to what it is today. I know that those stories changed the way I see Detroit.

Today, I am a Realtor here and I see what is going on each day. I love what is going on now with a lot of Detroit. I have joined this site for networking to find more people like myself to pass the word. We all know all the bad things about Detroit. I would like to hear about the good. I believe that Detroit has a great future ahead. I what to hear what you think. Please tell me about what you hear or have done in Detroit.

I will be happy to network with you and help to change the way people see, buy and talk about Detroit. I have found that we can make a difference.

For investors I have worked with, they only see numbers, and here in Detroit the numbers work!!

I have never been there, so I would definitely like to hear more!

You could use this as a marketing tool. Send out postcards and ask your SOI to go to your website to post their comments on what they like best about their city? I know Jimmy Kimmel likes Detroit (I watch almost every night)!

Hello Heather,

Well where do I start, I am sure you know that in any down market there is a lot of room to make a great buy. I will say one has to be with good people to make it here. I work with people that have faith and have good work habits.

The prices on investment homes are at an all time low and that means great for investors. People in Detroit will work for the money to get things done.

I am making investors money at a great return. around 40% on investment. If you have the time to pass this on I will do all that I can to help out.

I'm originally from Detroit, and I still have family and friends there. So I hope you're right about it having a bright future. I'll be visiting next month. I'll have a chance to see how things are for myself.
